Cookie Plant

Not too struggled with sticking to your roller. Instead, extend your dough between two sheets of wax paper. This will eliminate the sticky problem.
Your cookies always seem to be cutting dry, hard and tasteless? Tricks with wax paper will help with that. Assuming you start with a good recipe, the problem is that you work more than the mass and the mass of flour to work there. Using the waxed paper will help you manipulate the dough less, and the dough will not collect any extra flour.
Refrigerator (Fridge) and pinwheel cookies have noticed how your roll bars or pinwheel cookies smooth hand feel on the refrigerator shelf? Keep nice and round with the upright and then placed in a tall glass, while they cool.

Justify your cookies when you try to cut more? Try to rotate the log 1 / 4 turn after each slice.
Having a problem with cookies drowned when they tried to cut? Start with a record that has been frozen for several hours. Then use a very very sharp to cut.

Few Tips For Teeth Whitening

Many people have doubts about the safety of teeth whitening techniques. But truth is that it can be completely safe if the professional guidance is properly followed. The professional methods of commonly used peroxide based teeth whitening agents never damage your dental health.
If you have already gone for a teeth whitening experiment then maintain the discipline to keep your teeth white after its done. But for those who are still looking for a chance to opt this method to whiten their stained or discolored teeth, there are various available options that will suit your budget.
You will get a whole range of affordable and convenient whitening strips or dental whitening treatments at a competitive price in the market. The internet will provide you the great opportunity to shop around, do a little bit of ground work and choose the right way that suits your pocket and lifestyle.
You may face temporary side effects like sensitive teeth or irritation in the gums. But gum irritation is generally caused by whitening tray due to lack of perfect match with the size and shape of the gum. Many authorized dental associations approve these teeth whitening techniques as completely safe, effective and not hazardous to health.
The trouble that you take for whitening your teeth is not thankless. Study shows that most of the adults believe that an unappealing smile makes a person less attractive to the opposite sex. The people who are confident about their bright teeth reflect the same through their smile and this makes them even more confident. Whiter teeth can also help you look younger by reducing the wrinkles on your face. Teeth whitening can enhance your smile to a great extent.
However, the side effects of teeth whitening can be minimized. In case of teeth sensitivity and gum irritation it is better to abstain from the process for a few days. You can start the treatment again after a short gap. If the problem persists then change your regular toothpaste as per your dentist’s advice. Some toothpaste helps to protect the enamel cover of your teeth. If the problem is due to the tray, then avoid wearing it for a longer period of time.
So a good dentist, health oral hygiene, healthy food habits, some discipline and a suitable tray or strip or any other teeth whitening product are the essential requirements for an effective, safe and long-lasting teeth whitening.

Teeth Whitening At Home Vs. Visiting A Dentist

Even just a few years back teeth whitening was done in a professional dental clinic by expert dentists. Now, availability of at home service for whitening and OTC whitening products has made this process easy and more accessible. Many people who were apprehensive about visiting the clinic for any reason are now comfortable in using whitening applications at home in form of as strip, paint-on, or tray kits.
In some of the countries all systems involved in the tooth whitening process are considered cosmetics, unless the main constituent is fluoride. The manufacturer is required to submit a notification that produces adequate and correct information about safety and labeling to the Health Department for review.
Most of the Heath Department do not approve notification but scrutinize the information to ensure that all requirements have been met. The safety of the product is a manufacturer’s responsibility and the finally onus is on the manufacturer.
The OTC teeth whitening kits are quite similar to those that a dental professional applies on your teeth, the only difference lies in the concentration of the active ingredients used. The concentration of ingredients applied is much higher when you visit a professional dentist for whitening your teeth.
Use and application of higher concentrations are permitted only when these are used and applied by specialists who have a better understanding about the control and use of such ingredients and are responsible for monitoring the post-application effects.
Since home based products are not supervised by professional the concentration level is kept low to ensure safety. However a professional can also prescribe his/ her patient to use take-home applications. But in such a case he directly monitors his /her patients after application and can take up required actions in case of any adverse reaction from the products.
Recent clinical studies show that home tooth whitening products are not damaging if these are used properly following the instructions. The studies that have been conducted so far do not indicate detrimental effects of teeth whiteners on teeth structure and enamel.
However, instructions should be followed religiously and any contraindications if mentioned in the label should be kept in mind. These precautionary statements often ignored or missed out leads to complications. Any teeth whitening product should not be used for more than 14 days without a proper dental custody. Your dentist is the best guide to help you whiten your teeth properly only after a thorough review of your teeth structure.

Body Care for Everyday Life

It is important to have a body care routine. When body care products are not used on a regular basis, they are ineffective. Nobody can expect smooth skin from a single day of moisturizing. It takes several days to witness results. In order to maintain that same level, it must be performed routinely. This may seem like a lot of work, but when someone gets into a regular body care regimen, she can manage to do it all in mere minutes!
Body Care: Start in the Shower
Start from the top and work down from there. The first thing people should see is a healthy, glowing face. This starts with a good face wash. A foaming face wash is an excellent choice. It is made just for the face and will help retain the skin’s moisture. Regular bar soap is not a good idea because it can dry out the face’s delicate skin.
The next step is to use a good exfoliator. This should be gentle enough for the face but may also be used on every part of the body. An exfoliator removes the dead, dry top layer of skin cells and reveals the healthy skin underneath. This should not be done every day, but should be done at least once a week.
While in the shower, it is best to use a shower gel to wash the body. This is more delicate than a bar soap and also smells wonderful. It is especially easy when used in combination with a loofah. A loofah helps to exfoliate skin as well.
Body Care: Out of the Shower
After stepping out of the shower, the first thing to do is apply moisturizer to the entire face and body. This generally requires two different products since the face will need something gentler. This is the best time to apply a moisturizer because damp skin absorbs more effectively than dry skin. This will help keep the skin soft and smooth.
There are special moisturizers that are made for hands and feet. Feet are often neglected when it comes to total body care. These moisturizers are made especially for rougher, drier skin. Our feet and hands are exposed to so much that they need something a little stronger to keep them looking and feeling healthy and beautiful.
Body Care: During the Day
It is essential that people are aware of their bodies all day long. It is a good idea to carry antibacterial hand lotion or soap. There are germs everywhere and not enough places to wash our hands. This will help keep the hands and face germ free since everyone touches their face during the day. It is also a good idea to carry wipes that absorb face moisture. This will help keep pores from becoming clogged and also feels great on the skin.
Body Care: Before Bed
Before going to bed each night, there are several body care products to use in order to maintain healthy skin. The first is a good cosmetics remover. It is not recommended that a woman retire for the evening without removing her make-up, as it tends to clog pores and cause breakouts. Once this is accomplished, the face should be washed with a good foaming cleanser. After washing the face, it is a good idea to use a toner. A toner will clean out the pores of the face, reaching deeper than the foaming cleanser can. Finally, apply a blemish cream that will work overnight. This entire routine should take only five minutes and is worth every second to have beautiful skin!
Body care is essential all day long. In order to have skin look and feel its best, it is important to follow each of these steps. Following a body care regimen every day will keep skin beautiful and soft!

Stop Losing Your Hair Now !

Are you tired of finding strands of your hair in the sink, on the counter, or in the shower? No matter what age you are, no one likes to lose hair; everyone would rather keep it implanted on their scalps, where it belongs. Of course, if you have plenty to spare, you may not mind losing a few down the drain. But for those who are concerned about the exodus of their locks, here are some preventative measures to take before resorting to hair transplants or chemical processes.
1. Wash your hair every other day. Some people wash it daily, but as long as your hair remains manageable and not greasy, you can probably switch to alternative days. This will protect weak new hair follicles, giving them a chance to develop more fully. It also means you will be brushing or combing your hair less often, which means less stress on your scalp and strands.
2. Forget the 100 strokes a day. A generation or two ago, women taught their daughters to brush their hair 100 strokes daily. But professionals have come to realize that lengthy brushing may loosen hair strands and pull out excess hair. A dozen strokes or so ought to be enough for most heads of hair, but consult with your hair care stylist if you have questions or feel your hair needs more attention.
3. Use a detangle product. If your hair is long or thick, or for any reason is prone to tangles or split ends, apply a conditioner that defuses tangles or a detangling cream that smoothes them before combing. When you do comb or brush your hair, it will be easier to manage and result in less breakage.
4. Don’t overuse hair care products. Too much spray, gel, or mousse, along with too much heat treatment can cause damage over time. Use products like these sensibly. Keep an eye on their effect. If your hair starts looking dry or greasy, or if the ends look dull or split, make an appointment with your hair stylist or try a deep conditioning product at home.
5. Protect your hair from the elements. Avoid too much sun on a hot day. Keep your head covered in pelting rain, cold, snow, or sleet. Humidify your home when the air gets dry. Steps like these will help to keep your hair strong and safe from potentially damaging elements.
6. Comb wet hair gently. Begin with the lower layers and gently comb in the direction the hair takes naturally. Work your way up to the scalp, carefully working through tangles or snarls. Don’t use a brush on wet hair, as it can cause breakage.
7. Give your hair extra care after swimming in a chemically treated pool. You may have to wear a swimming cap or give your hair a conditioning treatment afterward.
Taking a few precautions like these can help to reduce the amount of lost hair and broken strands that you will find in the sink from now on.

What Is Hair Mineral Analysis ?

Hair contains all the minerals present in the body and, in most cases, reflects the quantity of these elements in your tissues. Analysis of this information provides a wealth of information on how efficiently your body is working and its nutritional status. A blood test will only give information about your mineral levels at the time the test is taken.
For instance, if you’ve just eaten a banana a blood test may indicate a high potassium level, even though you actually need a potassium supplement. Hair analysis reflects your body’s storage of potassium over a period of time, not what you ate that day, or even that week. Likewise, urine tests measure what is being excreted from your body, which is not necessarily what has been absorbed.
How is it carried out?
Taking a hair sample is simple, non-invasive and pain free. Any-one can do it. Full instructions are supplied. The sample is despatched to a lab in the USA which specialises only in hair analysis. There it is prepared for testing and acids are added to break the hair down, separating out the elements in the hair protein. After ‘digestion’ the remaining mineral salts are put into solution and analysed by sensitive and specialised instruments. The results are interpreted to produce nutritional mineral levels, their interrelationships and metabolic categorisation. The report is then personalised complete with graphs and explanations which may give you answers you have been seeking for years.
Why the USA?
After evaluating various services I settled on this lab because it offered excellent value for money, a superb report and a fast service. Reports typically contain over 12 pages of information (depending on findings) and are normally delivered within a fortnight. They include levels of 38 minerals and the interactions between them, metabolic type with a list of recommended supplements and details of foods to increase and decrease in order to improve your mineral balance. Although there are cheaper services, some I have seen return just one sheet of paper giving levels of less than 20 minerals. No explanations, no interactions, no graphs, no analysis. You get what you pay for.
Are there any problems?
You will be asked to specify which hair preparations you used, as some hair treatments can contaminate scalp hair. For instance dyes may contain lead acetate, bleaching processes affect calcium and certain medicated shampoos contain zinc or selenium. However, only that individual element is affected. All the others tested are valid. Although some health-care professionals remain sceptical, in the past twenty years there have been over a thousand references in peer-reviewed journals, supporting the reliability of the HMA.
Case history 1: J.C. presented with symptoms of fatigue, lethargy, joint aches and excessive hair loss (at age 25). His hair mercury was markedly high. Following treatment his hair levels of mercury decreased to a much more acceptable level and his symptoms improved significantly. The source of the toxicity was never identified.
Case history 2: C.T. became mentally ill and was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He was also alcoholic and consuming large quantities of drugs. An HMA revealed four times the acceptable levels of lead in his hair and also elevated levels of cadmium, mercury and copper. Following therapy and supplementation his condition improved dramatically, he lost his cravings for alcohol and his symptoms of mental illness reverted to normal, with no further need for psychoactive drugs.
Case history 3: L.S., a housewife in her early 40s, had been feeling tired for months. Her doctor had run all the standard tests and could find no problems. Finally she had an HMA which showed she had high levels of lead that were causing her tiredness. The cure came easily, she was feeling better in two weeks and the tired feeling vanished within a month.
L.S. was breathing excess lead from a car exhaust. How much lead are you breathing in from car exhausts - jogging or queuing in heavy traffic? How much cadmium have you accumulated from passive (or active!) smoking at the office and the pub? Is the mercury in your fillings stable, or is the vapour slowly poisoning you?Why might you benefit from an HMA?
If you have a disease or illness that has not responded to conventional treatment, you may wish to explore other possibilities and an HMA is an excellent place to start. If you suffer from “unexplained” problems such as headaches, backaches, weakness or tremors, an HMA may help you to get to the bottom of it. Or you may just be feeling under par without knowing why. How much lead are you breathing in from car exhausts - jogging or queuing in heavy traffic? How much cadmium have you accumulated from passive (or active!) smoking at the office and the pub? Is the mercury in your fillings stable, or is the vapour slowly poisoning you?
Are just toxic minerals examined?
No - the HMA will examine the status of the essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium and a whole host of others. Modern food processing methods strip nutrients from food. A massive 98% of chromium is stripped from flour in the refining process. Chromium is an essential part of the ‘Glucose Tolerance Factor’ which controls blood sugar, stimulates burning of food for energy, controls blood cholesterol levels, reduces blood fat levels and suppresses hunger symptoms. Modern farming methods have depleted the mineral content of soil and addition of some fertilisers can make minerals unavailable to plants. If sodium (in table salt), calcium (in dairy products) and phosphorous (in fizzy drinks) are present in excess in your diet, these can upset the natural mineral ratios. Is fluoride in your water supply depressing your calcium absorption? The graphs in an HMA will reveal all. Why not find out?
To sum up: Obviously an HMA is no substitute for diagnosis by a qualified medical practitioner, but if conventional medical investigations have failed to find a reason, or suggest a treatment for your problem, Hair Mineral Analysis represents an invaluable and cost effective next step.

Keep Your Heart Healthy

Heart disease is the number one killer today. Men and women are both likely to become victims. Men typically suffer more heart attacks, but women’s can be deadlier, so it is important for both genders to monitor their heart health by making a number of simple lifestyle adjustments.
1. Eat smart. The American Heart Association and other health organizations, as well, publish guidelines for sensible diets that promote heart health. Get a copy at their website or ask your doctor to recommend a diet for you. Typically, you should try to limit your consumption of red meat to perhaps a few ounces once or twice a week. Cook chicken and fish in casserole dishes instead, and experiment with vegetable recipes to try new and exciting variations. Don’t forget the raw veggies with low-fat dip and fresh fruits for desserts or snacks.
2. Watch your fluid intake. Most of us don’t drink enough water each day. Unless you have special medical restrictions, aim to have eight glasses (eight ounces each) of water daily. In addition, you can drink other beverages, but avoid sugary, nutrition-less products like pop or sweetened fruit juice. One or two cups of tea or coffee are probably all right, but keep in mind that caffeine can dehydrate you and make you jittery, so limit your intake.
3. Get daily exercise. Your doctor can recommend a hobby, routine, or workout that will benefit your physique and health. Walking at a moderate pace for 30 to 60 minutes daily is a great way to incorporate aerobic activity in your lifestyle, tone muscles, and enhance your metabolism. Your circulation will thank you, too, as it becomes more efficient at pumping blood through your body and breaking up plaque buildup in your arteries, thus allowing your heart to pump more easily. Just be sure to wear appropriate footwear and clothing, and don’t overdo it. Let your doctor know if you experience shortness of breath or painful limbs.
4. Learn to manage stress. Everyone experiences stressful events throughout their day. From getting up late to missing the train or having an argument with a family member, stress is all around us. We just have to learn to keep conflict and disappointments in check by reminding ourselves of the blessings and joys that surround us, often unnoticed. You may want to keep a journal to write about negative feelings instead of keeping them bottled up inside, where they may eventually explode.
In addition, cultivate a good support group of friends, family members, and social contacts. Get out and have fun. Meet new people and discover new ideas. Life will become more enjoyable, and your heart will benefit from your upbeat attitude. Consider volunteering in your community to make a difference in the lives of others. As you make new connections and continue to nurture old ones, you will feel healthier and benefit from a positive lifestyle.
